We get this question more than you might think: “Do you deliver to San Jose?” or “Can you reach Sunnyvale?” or “I need flowers at Stanford Hospital by tomorrow morning — is that even possible?”
The answer to all of them is yes.
At bayflorist.com, we deliver fresh, hand-arranged flowers across the entire Bay Area — and that very much includes the South Bay. From Palo Alto and Mountain View through Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, and Cupertino to San Jose, Milpitas, Campbell, Los Gatos, and the communities in between, we reach the full Silicon Valley corridor with the same quality and care we bring to San Francisco, the Peninsula, and the East Bay.
We already wrote about delivering to the East Bay and covered the mid-Peninsula flower corridor in previous articles. This one picks up where the Peninsula ends and keeps going south — through some of the most flower-worthy neighborhoods, tech campuses, hospitals, and universities in California.
📍 Where We Deliver in the South Bay
Here is a straightforward list of the cities and communities we serve south of San Carlos and Redwood City. If your recipient is in one of these places, we can get flowers there:
- Palo Alto — including downtown University Avenue, Stanford campus, Stanford Medical Center, California Avenue district, Midtown, and the neighborhoods along Embarcadero Road
- Menlo Park — including downtown Santa Cruz Avenue, the Meta (Facebook) campus area along Bayfront Expressway, and Sharon Heights
- Mountain View — including Castro Street downtown, the Google campus (Googleplex) on Shoreline Boulevard, and the neighborhoods around Cuesta Park and Rengstorff
- Los Altos and Los Altos Hills — including downtown Los Altos village on Main Street and the residential hills
- Sunnyvale — including historic Murphy Avenue downtown, the Juniper Networks and Yahoo/successor campuses, and the neighborhoods surrounding Sunnyvale Community Center
- Cupertino — including Apple Park (yes, we can deliver to the visitor center area), De Anza College, and the Cupertino Village and Main Street districts
- Santa Clara — including Santa Clara University, Levi’s Stadium area, the Intel campus, and the Great America Parkway office corridor
- San Jose — including downtown (San Pedro Square, SoFA district), Santana Row, Willow Glen, the Rose Garden neighborhood, Japantown, Evergreen, Almaden Valley, and the San Jose State University campus
- Campbell — including downtown Campbell and the Pruneyard
- Los Gatos — including the charming downtown strip on Santa Cruz Avenue and the Netflix campus
- Milpitas — including the Great Mall area and the residential neighborhoods along Calaveras Boulevard
- Saratoga — including the village and the residential foothills
If a city is not on this list but is somewhere in the South Bay or southern Peninsula, reach out and ask. Chances are good that we can make it work.
🏢 Delivering to Silicon Valley Office Campuses
The South Bay is defined by its tech campuses, and delivering flowers to them is a thing we do regularly. But campus delivery has its own quirks, and a few tips will save you (and us) some headaches:
- Apple Park (Cupertino): deliveries go to the Apple Park Visitor Center or a specified building reception desk. Include the building number if you have it. The campus is enormous and “Apple Park” alone is not a complete address.
- Googleplex (Mountain View): include the building number (e.g., “Building 40” or “1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Bldg MP7”). Google’s campus spans dozens of buildings across several blocks. Reception desks at each building accept deliveries.
- Meta / Facebook (Menlo Park): the Bayfront Expressway campus has a main reception that routes deliveries. Include the recipient’s building number if possible.
- Smaller campuses and office parks: Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, and North San Jose are packed with mid-sized tech companies in multi-tenant office parks. Include the company name, suite number, and building address — not just the campus name.
- General rule: the more specific the address, the faster the delivery reaches the right desk. “Sarah at Google” will eventually get there, but “Sarah Chen, Building 43, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View” will get there on the first try.
We covered office flower delivery across the Bay Area in a full article earlier this year — everything in that guide applies to South Bay campuses too.
🏥 South Bay Hospitals and Medical Centers
Hospital flower delivery is one of our most common requests in the South Bay. The major facilities we deliver to regularly include:
- Stanford Health Care / Stanford Hospital (Palo Alto) — include the patient name, room number, and floor. The information desk routes deliveries to patient rooms.
- Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford (Palo Alto) — same campus as Stanford Hospital. Specify which facility when ordering.
- El Camino Health (Mountain View and Los Gatos campuses) — include the campus location (Mountain View or Los Gatos) and the patient name and room number.
- Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara — deliveries to the medical center go through the main information desk. Include department or room number.
- O’Connor Hospital (San Jose) — a full-service hospital in central San Jose. Patient name and room number required.
- Good Samaritan Hospital (San Jose) — near Santana Row. Include patient name and floor.
- Regional Medical Center of San Jose — patient name and room number for routing.
- Santa Clara Valley Medical Center — the county hospital. Deliveries go through the main desk.
- VA Palo Alto Health Care System — the veterans’ hospital on the Palo Alto campus. Include the ward or building number.
A general hospital delivery tip: order as early in the day as possible. Morning deliveries have the best chance of reaching the patient’s room before visiting hours wind down. And always confirm that the facility is accepting flower deliveries — some ICU and transplant units have restrictions.
🎓 Universities in the South Bay
The South Bay has a concentration of universities where we deliver regularly:
- Stanford University (Palo Alto) — dorm deliveries, office deliveries, department offices. Include the building name and room/suite number. The campus is 8,180 acres — be specific.
- Santa Clara University — a compact campus in the heart of Santa Clara. Residence hall front desks accept deliveries. Include the hall name.
- San Jose State University — downtown San Jose campus. Dorm front desks and department offices accept deliveries during business hours.
- De Anza College (Cupertino) and Foothill College (Los Altos Hills) — office and department deliveries during business hours.
🏘️ South Bay Neighborhoods Worth Knowing
The South Bay is not a monolith. It is a patchwork of distinct neighborhoods and small cities, each with its own character. Here are the areas we deliver to most often and what to know about each:
- Downtown Palo Alto (University Avenue): walkable, busy, full of restaurants and offices. Deliveries to businesses and residences along University Ave and the side streets are routine.
- Willow Glen (San Jose): one of the most charming neighborhoods in the South Bay. Tree-lined Lincoln Avenue, locally owned shops, the kind of neighborhood where people actually sit on front porches. Flower deliveries here get noticed by the neighbors — in the best way.
- Santana Row (San Jose): the upscale shopping and dining district. Office and residential deliveries to the Santana Row mixed-use complex are common.
- San Jose Rose Garden: a residential neighborhood centered around the municipal rose garden. If you are sending flowers to someone who lives here, know that they already appreciate flowers — make it count.
- Downtown Los Gatos: a walkable, boutique-filled main street that feels like a small town despite being surrounded by Silicon Valley. Restaurant deliveries and surprise drop-offs work beautifully here.
- Campbell (downtown and the Pruneyard): a mix of older residential neighborhoods and the Pruneyard shopping center. Easy delivery access, great parking, and a neighborhood that appreciates a nice gesture.
- Castro Street, Mountain View: the walkable downtown strip. Offices, restaurants, and residences in close proximity make this one of the easiest delivery zones in the South Bay.
- Japantown, San Jose: one of only three remaining Japantowns in the United States. A cultural landmark with restaurants, shops, and a strong community identity. A thoughtful flower delivery here is always appreciated.
💰 What to Know About South Bay Delivery
A few practical notes that apply specifically to the South Bay corridor:
- Same-day delivery is available. Order by early afternoon and we can reach anywhere in the South Bay the same day. The earlier you order, the more flexibility we have with routing.
- Traffic matters. The 101, 280, and 880 corridors through the South Bay are some of the most congested in the state during commute hours. Our drivers know the timing and plan routes accordingly, but if you have a specific morning or afternoon preference, note it when you order.
- Gated communities and apartment complexes. The South Bay has many gated residential communities, especially in the hills of Saratoga, Los Gatos, Los Altos Hills, and parts of Almaden Valley. If the delivery address is gated, include a gate code or a note about where to leave flowers if the recipient is not home.
- Apartment and condo buildings. Downtown San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Mountain View have seen massive condo and apartment construction in recent years. Include the unit number and any buzzer or access instructions.
